Baltimore Sun columnist Jay Hancock is blogging from the Maryland General Assembly’s hearing on the BGE rate increase today. He posted a couple of hours ago with what looks like good news for our BGE bills next month. It looks like the parties are leaning toward a 15 percent rate increase come July (and for the next 11 months) rather than a scary 72 percent jump. After that the issue gets murky as ever.
