I just read on the Bel Air Scene blog that Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr. will be feted in downtown Bel Air Tuesday, June 19 when the town celebrates Cal Ripken Jr. Day. The blog also mentioned an Examiner.com story on Cal’s Day, which reveals that Harford County school’s very own spokesman Don Morrison — the very same Don Morrison who leaves me automated phone messages informing me when school is closed on account of snow — was Cal’s baseball coach way back when at Aberdeen High School.
The www.harfordmd.com website lists the Cal Ripken Jr. Day events running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and including:
|Parade of Champions – Cal’s Arrival
