My 9-year-old and I have an update for Bel Air Webkinz fans. Looks like Webkinz retailer Christopher’s in the Harford Mall has recovered from its Webkinz drought. The store moved from its location down near the mall’s new construction to a spot right next to Friendly’s and its windows are filled with the furry pets that have a secret life online. The store has added a big screen TV to give customers a peek at Webkinz’s online world. The folks at the store said Webkinz had caught up with their back orders and now the new stuff is trickling in. We discovered a leopard and a Clydesdale horse there in the past few days. My son is keeping an eye out for the Chocolate Lab, but we haven’t seen any sign of him yet. We’ve even seen Webkinz pop up at Limited Too at the mall, just on the other side of Friendly’s. But there, they cost $15.50 compared with $12.99 at Christopher’s. In Webkinz online world, my son has been enjoying planting digital crops and watching them grow. He has to work hard to keep up with the weeding. He’s also working on collecting clues to solve the Webkinz World mystery and he’s been reading The W Tales, a sort of ongoing drama among the digital pets.
