“Bel Air News and Views took a commanding lead early and finished with 56% of the votes. Their next closest competitor had only 15% of the votes. An interesting note – Bel Air News and Views also had the most unique voters; that is voters submitting their ballots from different computers.”
BANV joins MaGerk’s Pub & Grill, which won in both the best bar and best restaurant categories, and Legends of the Fog, which won best Bel Air event category. Since I’ve never received such an honor before (and who knows if I ever will again) I’m making the most of it. I’ve just put on an evening gown and asked my husband to finish making dinner so I can put together this acceptance post. First, I’d like to thank Bob, the Bel Air Scene blogger for all his hard work putting together the Best of Bel Air ’07 and for thinking to include BANV in his best Bel Air blogs listing along with the other very worthy candidates: The Dagger, Fred’s Harford County, Harford Now, and Talking About Abingdon, MD
Together, these blogs have made the Bel Air blogosphere a lively and informative place. I’d also like to thank my family, friends and regular readers for taking time out of their busy days to vote frequently. I heard one enthusiastic voter risked carpal tunnel syndrome with all his voting. Thank you very much. A special thanks goes to my husband and children who give me some free time each day so I can post and often come up with ideas for the blog themselves. And thank you to my mother for spreading news about BANV and bringing me readers from the midwest. But most importantly, thank you readers for clicking regularly on BANV. Without you, there would be no point to all this posting. I’m honored to have your attention. Thanks again and please keep reading!
