No Kohls in Forest Hill rallies becoming a regular Friday night date

The No Kohls in Forest Hill rallies started modestly, but now seem to be picking up steam. The first attracted 40 sign-waving Forest Lakes residents to the corner of Rock Spring Road and Osborne Parkway where the Klein family wants to put a Kohl’s department store. A week later, the next rally at the spot drew about 250 residents and some mainstream media coverage. Now, a third is scheduled for 6 p.m. May 2. It comes just days before the Klein family’s plan for the 10.5-acre site is to be reviewed by the Harford County Development Advisory Committee on May 7. According to the DAC’s website, it looks like the location of the 9 a.m. meeting has been changed to a larger venue: the Harford County Council Chambers, 212 South Main Street, Bel Air, MD 21014. They might be expecting a bit of a crowd.
