For those of you who watched Bel Air’s Julienne Irwin compete on “America’s Got Talent” and thought that could have been you, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is offering you a chance to show off your singing chops at its “Oh, Say Can You Sing” competition on Monday, June 9 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The winners will get a chance to perform with the BSO in July. Here’s the press release they sent to BANV:


How would you like to sing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra?

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will hold its first ever “Oh, Say Can You Sing” competition on Monday, June 9, 2008, 4 p.

Winner(s) will sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” with The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at one or all of their Star-Spangled Spectacular concerts at Oregon Ridge Park July 3, 4, and 5, 2008, in front of more than 15,000 people.

Contestants must be:

Between the ages of 8 and 18

Able to sing the Star-Spangled Banner in the key of B-flat or A-Flat Major

Available on July 3, 4, and 5, 2008
