Harford County Farm Fair opens Thursday

My kids are all excited about the Harford County Farm Fair, which runs Thursday through Sunday. We’ve been every year we’ve lived in here and they really love it. They’d spend all day in the Kidway playing ball and ring toss games for little plastic prizes. I like that the games are free (save for the cost of admission to the fair — $7 for adults; $3 kids ages 5-12). And, that the games are in the shade of a big tent. It’s always so hot. As soon as we arrive we always check to see when the next Suewee Pig Race is scheduled and then keep ourselves busy in the Kidway until the next race. (Click here to see a YouTube video I made of one of the races.) This year, all the talk seems to be about the Dock Dogs — a competition where dogs leap into a pool of water. Click here to see the Dock Dogs website. The fireworks are scheduled for dusk on Thursday.
