Former Frank’s Nursery and Crafts in Fallston to become car dealership, the Aegis reports

Today’s Aegis reports that the former Frank’s Nursery and Crafts building at 2308 Belair Road is going to be used for preowned-auto sales. Mitch Ensor of Bay State Land Services was the representative for the plan discussed at Wednesday’s Harford County Development Advisory Committee meeting. He said building would get some cosmetic changes but the 2.27-acre site wouldn’t be significantly altered. Needed road improvements for the site are already part of a site plan that has been approved for the Fallston Wal-Mart.

For those interested in the progress of the Fallston Wal-Mart, you can track how close they are to getting their building permit by typing in their permit number on the Planning & Zoning Dept’s web page. Click here to see it. Or click here and type in Permit # 06335B0090. It looks like every department involved has given their approval except the state highway department. The last time I spoke with the planning department, they said Wal-Mart was still working with property owners to secure needed right-of-ways. I posted about it here.

I thought that permit # thing was so cool, I asked for the permit for the Kohl’s that’s to be built on Rock Spring Road since I know a lot of BANV readers are interested in that project. P&Z told me Kohl’s has not yet applied for its permit, so there’s no number yet. I’ll keep checking back.
