Imagination Library kick off event at Goddard School in Forest Hill Saturday; Fund-raiser quarter auction Oct. 16


    Carolanne Kappus of Forest Hill is rolling out her Imagination Library  reading program with an event Saturday at the Goddard School , 460 Granary Road Forest Hill, MD 21050.

    The program she started through her Sweet Pea Foundation mails free books to participating children monthly until they start kindergarten.     The event at Goddard School on Saturday (Oct. 11) runs 11 am -2 pm and coincides with the school’s fall festival.  Guest readers will read books from the Imagination Library to children starting at noon.

    Kappus hopes to raise money to support the program at a quarter auction fund-raiser scheduled Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Bel Air Moose Lodge, 310 E Jarrettsville Rd, Forest Hill, MD 21050 (Next to Wargo’s). The event runs 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. and doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.00 per guest (includes 1 paddle for bidding).Vendors include: Avon, Designs by Erica, Home Interior, Longaberger, Lia Sophia, Private Quarters, Sunny Hill Farm, Tastefully Simple, Bandit ‘n The Ween Pet Bakery, The Pampered Chef, Mrs “PURSE”onality.
