Harford County Kids Magazine Camp & Education Fair to be held March 7 at The John Carroll School


    Today may be a snow day off of school, but it’s not too early to start thinking about how to keep kids busy when school’s out for summer vacation. The Harford County Kids Magazine just announced it’s hosting its annual Summer Activities and Camp Fair March 7. This year, the fair will be held at a new location, The John Carroll school, rather than at the Harford Mall where it’s been held in the past. The event will feature a Fun Zone to keep kids entertained. Here’s the news release from Harford County Kids Magazine:

    Harford County Kids Magazine to host Camp & Education Fair

    Bel Air, MD January 2009— Harford County Kids Magazine announced that it would host the 7th annual Harford County Kids Summer Activities and Camp Fair on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at The John Carroll School from 10am to 4pm. Lead sponsor is the Bel Air Athletic Club.

    Other sponsors include: Silver – It’s All Fun & Games. Bronze – The Highlands School; Camp Invention; Harford Day School; Parris-Castoro Eye & Laser Center; The Arena Club; The John Carroll School; Y of Central Maryland; New Covenant Christian School; Freestate Sports Arena; Harford Friends School; The Rage Box Contemporary Dance Center; Point Breeze Credit Union; Oldfields School; U.S. Taekwondo Academy and Calvert Hall College High School.

    The event will feature 50+ exhibitors that offer summer activities and camps, as well as area schools. The fair provides a chance for parents to talk one-on-one with camp and school representatives. They can gain personal insights, register their child for a program or take home information and applications. Kids can also enjoy a Fun Zone entertainment area with performances, demonstrations and kids activities including Extreme Jean Wacky Scientist, caricatures, Marathon DJs, Eden Mill Animal Show, Ice World Hockey Game, dance and martial arts demonstrations.     The feature show, scheduled at 1:00 pm (approx. 45min), is the Bucky & GiGi Show. Chris & Gina Allison a.k.a. Bucky & GiGi aren’t just any clowns. These two comedians graduated with high honors from college –that is “Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College.” They then spent a combined twenty years traveling the United States with the Greatest Show on Earth!® These two funsters will amaze and amuse both young and old with their comedic antics combined with magic and juggling.
