The Dagger Press reports that Sen. Barry Glassman has said rumble strips will be added to the median along the Bel Air Bypass this spring, and a median barrier will be planned in the next fiscal year. These changes come in the wake of the fatal accident that killed Katherine Brady of Perry Hall and her son Will after a car driven by Christopher Lentz crossed the center line and hit the Brady family’s minivan.

Lentz was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter and was being held in the Harford County Detention Center.
According to The Dagger story:
“The rumble strips will run from Water Tower Way to Winters Run bridge beginning in spring 2009, and the traffic barrier will be between Water Tower Way and MD 24, as funding becomes available. The barrier is estimated to cost million to million.
