    It does seem to be Abingdon that will be getting a Wegmans grocery store in January 2011, according to a story that was just posted on the Baltimore Sun website. The Wegmans webpage announcing its upcoming stores listed its planned location at Emmorton and Woodsdale roads just north of I-95 as being in Bel Air. But readers who commented on my previous post about the news pointed out that that’s not exactly Bel Air. Nonetheless, it’s a whole lot closer than the store’s Hunt Valley location. For you who were doubtful, The Baltimore Sun did confirm the info with Wegmans spokeswoman Jo Natale today and learned that construction is due to begin at the site in six months. The store will anchor a planned 350,000 square-foot shopping center and will bring 600 jobs along with it. We can thank BRAC for our Wegmans, according to the center’s developer, James M. Martin, president of Edgewood-based Ward Properties, who was quoted in the story. To read more click here:
