Two upcoming events planned for Carolanne Kappus’ Imagination Library effort in Forest Hill

    Carolanne Kappus of Forest Hill just emailed me to let me know that her plan to send books to every preschooler in town is coming along nicely. At her sister’s urging, she brought Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library here this past summer. Now she has 168 preschoolers registered in the program and 18 graduates since October, 2008. She has two events coming up in the next few weeks:

    Friday, March 27th, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Fundraiser at Jump On It, 131 Industry Lane, #4, Forest Hill, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Benefits The Sweet Pea Foundation, local champion for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, www.asweetpeafoundation.org.  Money raised provides free books to preschoolers in the Forest Hill community; open to the public, space is limited-reservations recommended-Jump On It 410.838.0522
    Saturday, April 4th, 10:00-11:30 a.m., Easter Egg Hunt Fundraiser, The Sweet Pea Foundation, 1685 Ingleside Rd, Forest Hill, $5 donation per child (under 6 only please).  Come meet the Easter Bunny, prizes for “special” eggs, moonbounce by Jump On It, light refreshments and photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Please bring your own basket.
