On the hunt for Easter Egg hunts

A reader (thank you!) asked me the other day if I’d heard of any Easter Egg hunts around Bel Air besides the April 11 hunt at Rockfield Manor for children ages 6 and under. I know of a Forest Hill Rec Council Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday April 4 for children 8 and under at the Friends Park Pavilion (for details call 1-888-798-1850 or 410-638-3616). The Easter Bunny is scheduled to make an appearance there. I also see a noon hunt on April 11 at Tydings Park in Havre de Grace for children ages 11 and under, which will also include a visit from the Easter Bunny.

If you’re heading to any of these, don’t forget to bring a basket. And — as Melissa just pointed out in the comments below — get to your hunt early. Some hunts organize kids by age so the little ones aren’t competing against older kids. At other hunts, it’s a free for all. You never know what you’re going to get, so the best bet is to be early and ready.

If anyone else knows of an Easter Egg Hunt in the area, please leave a comment below or send me a message at belairnews@comcast.net and I’ll post it here. Thanks!
