See Bel Air’s 8-year-old book author & R2D2 at Tiddlywinks toy store this Saturday

Tiddlywinks, Bel Air’s newest toy and book store, will be hosting two special guests this Saturday May 9. Bel Air’s youngest celebrity author, 8-year-old Erik Uebelacker, will be reading his self-published book “Butterflies Shouldn’t Wear Shoes”  at 10 a.m. He’ll stick around to sign copies of his book until noon. The Harford Day School third-grader came up with the idea for the book after learning that butterflies taste with their feet. His mom, graphic designer Carla Mattioli, helped him illustrate his ideas and turn it into a book. Now they’re selling it around town and sending proceeds to benefit Erik’s favorite charity, the World Wildlife Fund.

After Erik’s appearance, Tiddlywinks will be receiving a visitor straight from Star Wars. R2D2 himself, still wearing a little soot from that Death Star battle is scheduled to arrive at Tiddlywinks at 1 p.m. Don’t forget to bring a camera. He’ll be posing for pictures until 3 p.m.

See them both Saturday at Tiddlywinks Toys & Books, 17 N. Main Street in Bel Air.

Tiddlywinks is open Tuesday – Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm and closed Sunday & Monday. For more information visit or call (443) 371-6420.
