Up first is the free outdoor movie at Shamrock Park tomorrow (Friday, July 23). The Bel Air Downtown Alliance is sponsoring the showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at dusk. The new sign is up, the facade has been renovated and on Saturday, July 24, Famous Dave’s restaurant (at the former location of Uno Chicago Grill) will give Bel Air a taste of what will be cooking there when it opens Aug. 16. Starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, the restaurant will offer a free rib-tasting in the restaurant’s parking lot at 615-B Bel Air Rd.
Donate the paperbacks you’ve already read at the Bel Air library
The Harford County Public Library will be collecting donations of the paperback books you’ve already read and no longer want from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 24 at the loading dock at the Bel Air branch, 100 E. Pennsylvania Avenue. The books will be sold at the library’s book sale scheduled for Aug. 7.
