Devonte Bundley is the Harford Community College basketball player who died during practice Friday, according to a statement by college president Dr. Dennis Golladay. The statement, posted today on the school’s website, states that Golladay collapsed during the first practice of the season. He was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death has not yet been determined. Bundley was a freshman who graduated from Harford Technical High School, where he was a member of the football, basketball, wrestling, and track & field teams. Funeral arrangements are pending and the college is offering a group grief counseling session on Tuesday, October 5 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the LaCalle Conference Room in Edgewood Hall. According to a report on ExploreHarford.com, “All men’s basketball events and practices are on hold until further notice. All other sports events and practices were canceled for the weekend, but will resume Monday.”
