You can get a jump on the Maryland Gubernatorial General Election starting Friday, Oct. 22 when early voting begins at 10 a.m. at the Bel Air Branch of the Harford County Library. You can vote from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, Saturday, Oct. 23 (not Sunday, Oct. 24) but again on Monday, Oct. 25, Tuesday, Oct. 26, Thursday, Oct. 27 and Friday, Oct. 28. If you don’t get to the polls by then, you have to wait until election day on Nov. 2 where you can vote at your designated polling place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. I received my “Official Specimen Ballot” in the mail today, so you should be getting yours about now too. It will tell you where your polling place is and who’s running for office. Personally, I might need a little more time before I decide. I’m going to want to figure out the difference between these two guys both named Hopkins who are running for Register of Wills (Hopkins & Hopkins). But the big thing to remember is parking is going to be tricky at the Bel Air branch of the Harford County Library during early voting. I kept forgetting that during the primary election.
