Forest Hill greeting card company works to raise awareness of Interstitial Cystitis this month

A local greeting card and relationship management company is spending the month of October working to spread awareness of a disease — and it’s not the one you expect. All that pink you see makes it clear that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. But breast cancer isn’t the only disease being recognized this month. JAG Enhancements of Forest Hill is working to raise awareness of a painful condition called Interstitial Cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/PBS). In the U.S., between 3 and 8 million women suffer from this condition as do between one and four million men. The disease is characterized by debilitating levels of “razor blade” like pain in the pelvic area making normal daily activities difficult. Visit the Interstitial Cystitis Network website – for more information. JAG Enhancements is working to help Interstitial Cystitis/bladder pain syndrome sufferers by donating 75 cents of every greeting card sold through its website this month to the Interstitial Cystitis Network. If you’re interested in trying it out, visit Choose a card for $2.99. Personalize it. And click to have the real paper card delivered to your recipient the old fashioned way. It’s a way to skip the card store and post office but still get the same result. And when you do it this month, you also help out a cause.
