A custom built train display designed by a librarian makes visits to the Aberdeen Library even more of an adventure for kids.
ABERDEEN LIBRARY BRANCH RECEIVES CUSTOM TRAIN FOR CHILDREN’S AREA
(Belcamp, Maryland – July 18, 2011) The Aberdeen Branch of Harford County Public Library recently received a new custom-built train and play center. The “Aberdeen Express” features tracks and replicas of several Aberdeen landmarks, including the library branch. Designed by children’s librarian Stephanie Sauter and built by Nick and Adrienne Poulos, the train was purchased with privately bequeathed funds and donations from the Harford County Public Library Foundation and Harford County Public Library. The train can be found in the Children’s Department.
Harford County Public Library operates eleven branches located throughoutHarford County,Maryland. The library serves over 210,000 registered borrowers of all ages and has an annual circulation of almost 4,700,000. Harford County Public Library is committed to connecting people with information and promoting the love of reading within the community.
