The Harford County Public Library announces its new online database including content from more than 85 newspapers around the world:



 (Belcamp, Maryland – November 4, 2011)  Harford County Public Library is pleased to announce the addition of a new online database, ProQuest Newsstand™, which provides exclusive access to 85 full-text newspapers from around the world, including the Baltimore Sun! ProQuest Newsstand™ can be accessed by visiting HCPLonline.org/research/articles/


Great for catching up on world and local news or for research purposes, ProQuest Newsstand™ is an exciting addition for readers and researchers of all kinds.

Joining a multitude of other online resources and databases already offered by Harford County Public Library, the detailed indexing of ProQuest Newsstand™ helps researchers quickly find the news information they need.  The indexing covers not only complete bibliographic information but also subjects, companies, people, products, and geographic areas. Each issue is indexed thoroughly, so access is available to not only top news stories but also detailed information on the arts, sports, business, and popular culture.  Even such items as editorials, editorial cartoons, obituaries, and letters to the editor from well-known people are indexed.
