Things to do this weekend around Bel Air include several plays at area high schools: “Almost Maine” and “Cash on Delivery” at Bel Air High School, “Once Upon a Mattress” at C. Milton Wright, “Murder’s in the Air” at Edgewood, “Murder in the Wings” at Joppatowne and “Oklahoma” at North Harford. Other weekend highlights include  Girls Night Out in downtown Bel Air tonight and on Sunday the Black Youth in Action Debutante Ball and the Dougherty family’s Walk a Mile in My Shoes walk-a-thon at Annie’s Playground to raise awareness of XXYY Syndrome. High School Drama performances this weekend

Bel Air Drama Company presents “Almost Maine” a play by John Cariani Nov. 18 and  “Cash on Delivery” a comedy by Michael Cooney, Nov. 17 & 19 at Bel Air High School, 100 Heighe St. All performances start at 7 p.m.

C. Milton Wright High School’s performance group Stage Wright presents “Once Upon a Mattress”  at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 & 19 at the school, 1301 North Fountain Green Road.

Edgewood High School performs the audience interactive murder-mystery comedy by Billy St. John “Murder’s in the Air” Nov. 18 & 19 at the school, 2415 Willoughby Beach Road.

Joppatowne High School performs “Murder in the Wings,” a mystery-comedy by Pat Cook at 7 p.m. Nov. 17, 18 & 19 at the school, 555 Joppa Farm Road.

North Harford High School’s NHHS Players present “Oklahoma” at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 19 at the school, 211 Pylesville Road.

Good Cause Holiday Flea Market and Coffee House, Nov. 19

This Saturday Nov. 19 from 8 am to 3 pm, Good Cause in Havre de Grace, will be hosting a Holiday Flea Market to raise funds for local children in jeopardy of being without gifts this Holiday season. There will be Holiday crafts, inexpensive gifts for your Christmas lists, holiday desserts, other foods and drinks for sale. Children can meet Santa from 12-2pm! There are still a couple spots of available if you like to rent a table for $10. Annual 5K One World Run, Nov. 19

The Falcon Flying Feet Running Club, a group of active and dedicated students at North Harford Middle School, will participate in the Annual 5K One World Run to be held November 19, 2011, in White Hall at the Norrisville Recreation Complex. This international event takes place in many cities and countries around the world. The cause has even spread to Antarctica, so this year, there will be runners on every continent! Since the race is completely corporate-sponsored, all the race fees go to Project AIDS Orphan (PAO). PAO is a not-for-profit organization supporting children who have been orphaned by the AIDS crisis in East Africa. Funding goes directly toward Mission House of Hope which provides food, clothing, health care and education to AIDS Orphans in Kenya.

Walk a Mile in My Shoes walk-a-thon, Nov. 19

The Dougherty family of Havre de Grace is having a Walk a Mile in My Shoes walk-a-thon Nov. 19 at Annie’s Playground. The event benefits the XXYY Project, an organization that raises awareness of XXYY Syndrome, a condition that affects one of the Dougherty’s children. “Beersgiving” at The Laurrapin, Nov. 20

The Laurrapin in Havre de Grace is hosting a buffet beer dinner “Beersgiving” in partnership with DuClaw Brewing Company.  The buffet is Sunday the 20th, and incorporates DuClaw brew into each dish. DuClaw beer will be on tap starting this Friday the 18th.
