The Humane Society of Harford County isn’t the only organization helping pets find homes. The volunteers who run the Bulldog Rescue Farm in Jarrettsville are also looking for homes for the bull breed dogs that are cared for in a network of foster homes. Their full list of bull dogs in need can be found at http://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelterid=MD134. This week they are featuring King . . .
American Bulldog: An adoptable dog in Jarrettsville, MD
Meet handsome King! King was relinquished to animal control this fall. He never had much of a life. His condition on arrival was neglect and malnourishment. He weighed in at 44lbs. Since coming to the shelter, he has packed on over 25 pounds, and looks great now! King is 1-2 years old. He knows the commands sit, down, stay, shake and come. His previous owner said that he is good with older children. King would be able to live with a female dog, as he has in the past. King is a supurb athlete and would make an excellent jogging partner. The shelter says that King is a nice boy, due to his sad history, he needs a loving home to teach him he is OK now. He wants to be loved and cuddled. His evaluation stated that he is high energy, outgoing, sensitive, timid, willing to work. During all his testing, he was relaxed and friendly. He interacted calmly and solicited more. Please give this sweet boy a chance at a wonderful life, being loved and treated like royalty! If you would like to meet King, please call Kim at 443-386-6170 and fill out the adoption application at www.americanbulldogrescue.org. We are looking for both a foster and a permant home for King, so if you can provide either, please call! Your tax deductible adoption donation of $400 will help cover the cost of King’s medical care.
