Jan 2012
Dear Community Member,
On Feb 24, 2012 we will be hosting Casey’s Bull Roast for Histio at Tall Cedars located at 2501 Putty Hill Ave. Baltimore, MD 21234. This event will benefit the Histiocytosis Association. The Histiocytosis Association is the only nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support and education to patients and families likes ours that are dealing with histiocytic disorders in the United States. The Histiocytosis Association also provides funding for numerous research grants in hopes of finding better treatment options and a cure for this rare blood disease.
Casey’s Bull Roast for Histio will honor my son Casey. Casey was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis and Juvenile Xanthogranuloma in 2010 and after a year of chemotherapy he is currently 6 months into remission. The bull roast is being held for his 11th birthday and instead of having a birthday party like most kids he wants to raise awareness and funds for the Histiocytosis Association. We are planning on 250 people to attend this event.
This event will be Casey’s 2nd fundraiser for the Histiocytosis Association. Last year his fundraising efforts raised $ 10,288.26 as well as raised awareness for this disease such as when he was featured in a 2 page article in the Aegis newspaper in February. His goal this year is to raise $11,000 at just 11 years old!  We are excited about the participation and support that our community has to offer!
I would like to ask for your support for this exciting event. By donating gift certificates, products, or services you can help make a difference!
We have the following donation levels available for businesses and individuals.
1.     Royal Blue Donor(donation of $500 or more in either cash or product donations)
2.     Sapphire Donor (donation of $250-$499 in either cash or product donations)
3.     Cobalt Donor (donation of $100-$249 in either cash or product donations)
