Garage sale fundraiser in Fallston April 14 benefits fight against cancer



A cancer fighting fundraising group is hosting a day-long garage sale fundraiser April 14 at 2033 Fallsgrove Way, Fallston. Here are the details:

Event Runs 7 AM – 7 PM on Saturday, April 14th

Fallston, Md. – Team GP 2012 will host a 12-hour garage sale fundraiser to support the 4th Annual 24 Hours of Booty Columbia benefitting LIVESTRONG and the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. The garage sale will take place from 7 AM to 7 PM on Saturday, April 14 at 2033 Fallsgrove Way, Fallston, Md. 21047.

“The Team GP 2012 garage sale is perfect for those who want to find great deals and join in the fight against cancer,” said Basil Lyberg, executive director of the 24 Hours of Booty cancer charity cycling event. “We appreciate all the hard work that Team GP 2012 has put into organizing and hosting this fundraiser.”

Open to the public, the 12-hour garage sale will feature delicious grilled brats, lemonade, and a bake sale alongside the large spread of great finds including a ping pong table, air hockey table, furniture, home décor, clothing and more. About Team GP 2012

Team GP 2012 formed when a coworker was diagnosed with leukemia at the end of 2010. Forming the team was a perfect way to rally around Mike and show support. Mike was hospitalized and treated immediately upon diagnosis. After treatment and chemo with some remission, he was able to move forward with a bone marrow transplant. Mike spent time recovering, but came down with pneumonia in August which was too much for his body to handle. He passed away later that month, just one week after his 33rd birthday.
