Chabad leads the Way – Spreading Holiday Cheer
By Rabbi Kushi Schusterman
November 30, 2012
Bel Air, MD – Chabad of Harford County, the only full service Jewish Center in Bel Air, announced today that it will be holding the 3rd annual public Hannukah Celebration and Outdoor Menorah lighting on Dec. 9th 2012, 4:30pm at the Bel Air Armory.
People from all faiths are interested in knowing more about the holiday, Schusterman said, and we are here to create an environment where they can learn. Many interfaith couples have said that this annual celebration is what connects them to the faith and traditions of the Jewish spouse.
The menorah will remain lit in front of town hall for the entire month of December right near the Christmas tree. However the public celebration is going to be inside the armory as past participants have said that the hot latke (holiday potato pancake) gets cold quite quickly in this weather.
