Looney’s Pub is organizing an “Operation Santa” toy drive for the children of New York and New Jersey affected by Hurricane Sandy. They are asking for unwrapped toys to be dropped off at Looney’s North or Looney’s Maple Lawn between Nov. 30 and Dec. 14. Santa and his caravan will be picking the toys up on Dec. 15. Bel Air News & Views sponsor Oak Grove Baptist Church is celebrating the season with performances of “Jingle in the the City: A 1940s Christmas in New York” at the church, 2106 Churchville Rd. “Jingle in the City” takes you to a jazz-filled New York City in the 1940s. Follow a little band of orphans who steal the hearts of all while learning the true meaning of belonging and love. The BOOM Theatre Co. is to present “The Seagull” December 7, 8, 9, 14, and 15 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Harford County (2515 Churchville Road, Churchville MD 21028). All shows begin at 7PM. This play set in a 19th century Russian lakeside estatecontains mature themes. US Army Jazz Ambassadors holiday concert, Dec. 15
The US Army Jazz Ambassadors will be performing their holiday concert, Sound the Bells, in Harford Technical High School’s Amoss Center on December 15, 2012, at 3:00 pm. A support group for people dealing with Crohn’s & Colitis is forming. The group welcomes people who have the disease and their family and friends.
