The Humane Society of Harford County sent along this news that it will be reducing pet adoption fees from Feb. 14-17. Here are the details:

From February 14-17, the Humane Society of Harford County is transforming into “The Love Shack” and reducing the adoption fee for all animals over a year old to just $44!  Cats are regularly $75-95 and dogs range from $95-250, so this discount represents a significant savings – all in the name of love!

The Love Shack is a little old place where you and a pet can find each other!

Adoption Fees Include:

  • 1st set of Distemper shots
  • Rabies Vaccination
  • De-wormer
  • Flea/Tick Preventative
  • Microchip
  • General Exam

If the animal is not already spayed or neutered, a $50 deposit is required. Adoptive families are given a HASP (Harford Animal Sterilization Program) certificate and a list of veterinarians and must get the procedure done in 60 days (or 60 days after the animal is 6 months old). Once the spay/neuter procedure is complete, adopters should provide a receipt from the participating veterinarian, and the $50 deposit will be refunded.

So head on down to our funky little shack at 2208 Connolly Road in Fallston, MD or visit our funky website at www.harfordshelter.org.  Hours for adoption are Monday thru Friday from 11am-6pm, Saturdays from 10am-5pm, and Sundays from 12pm-4pm.

The Love Shack, baby, that’s where it’s at!
