Denise Dregier, Harford Community College director for college and alumni development, has been elected to the Community Foundation of Harford County’s board of directors. Here are the details:
COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF HARFORD COUNTY ELECTS DENISE DREGIER TO BOARD
Bel Air, Md., November 25, 2013 — Community Foundation of Harford County elected Denise Dregier to its board of directors for a two-year term.
Dregier serves as director for college and alumni development at Harford Community College. Prior to joining the College’s staff five years ago, she was a small business owner for more than 20 years, working with her husband, Gary, who specializes in real estate brokerage and appraisals.
A Havre de Grace resident, Dregier is very active in the community. She is a member of the Bel Air Rotary, Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Maryland Chapter, and Council of Resource Development. Dregier also serves on the education liaison committee of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce.
“Denise Dregier’s experience in development and her involvement in our community will assist the Community Foundation of Harford County in supporting local philanthropy at its best,” said Tamara W. Zavislan, the foundation’s executive director. “We are delighted to have her join our board of directors.”
Community Foundation of Harford County (CFHC) is a nonprofit organization supported by the community through donations, enabling individuals, families and businesses to leave a legacy to benefit the causes that matter on a local level. Charitable gifts are used to make Harford County stronger through grant-making to local nonprofits and through scholarships. Since 2009, CFHC has awarded more than $140,000 in grants to Harford County nonprofit organizations. CFHC is one of 14 community foundations in Maryland and one of 700 across the country.
