PASSPORT ACCEPTANCE FACILITY NOW OPEN AT BEL AIR LIBRARY
(Belcamp, Maryland – November 18, 2013) Harford County Public Library is pleased to announce that it has been designated as a U.S. Department of State Passport Acceptance Facility. A Passport Office is now open on the mezzanine level of the Bel Air Library and services include passport book and card application acceptance, passport photographs, extra visa pages, expedited service and renewal services. Hours for the Passport Office are Monday through Thursday from 3:00-7:00 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. No appointment is necessary and pagers are provided if there is a wait.
The Library is celebrating the opening of its Passport Office with an exhibition of familiar and unique travel posters, plus souvenirs from local residents called Beyond Your Borders: Collecting Travel Posters and Souvenirs. Using the lens of travel images and inexpensive mementos, the display is about the way advertising comments on our society, the arts, and our emotions. History has rarely been so beautifully recorded – or so kitschy! The exhibition is located outside the Passport Office and can be seen now through January during regular Library hours.
For more information about the services available at the Passport Office please go to the Bel Air Library branch website page at HCPLonline.org or call the branch at 410 638 3151.
