Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church’s annual Passion Play April 13 & 18

The play is a dramatic presentation depicting the trialsuffering and death of Jesus Christ. In its 20thyear, the Passion Play continues to be memorable. The Harford County Health Department is sponsoring its annual springtime rabies vaccination clinics for dogs, cats and ferrets that are three months old and over on Sunday, April 27th and Sunday, May 4th, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm. The fee is $5 per animal. The locations include: Abingdon Fire Company, Harford County Equestrian Center, Susquehanna Hose Company, Whiteford Volunteer Fire Dept, Aberdeen Vol Fire Dept, Jarrettsville Vol Fire Dept, Joppa-Magnolia Vol Fire Dept, and Darlington Vol Fire Dept.

5th Annual Celebration of Cultures, May 3

The 5th Annual Celebration of Cultures will be held on Saturday, May 3rd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bel Air Reckord Armory located at 37 North Main St. This FREE family event will feature a wide variety of diverse performances and activities. Performers will include Amartia, a belly dancer, the Ryan-Kilcoyne School of Irish Dancing, Chung’s Martial Arts Studio’s students, Greek dancers and storyteller Janice the Griot among others. There will be a children’s garden with authentic tepee, games from around the world, and face and henna painting. Ethnic foods, local artisans and vendors will fill out the day for the FREE event which is handicapped accessible. The event is sponsored by the Town of Bel Air, LASOS, Inc and the Harford County Department of Community Services. Bike MS: Chesapeake Challenge 2014 in Easton, MD May 31 – June 1, 2014

Participants will enjoy the quaint, scenic, waterfront communities of Tolghman Island, Oxford, St. Michaels and Trappe. After enjoying lunch along Saturday’s routes, cyclists will ride on the Oxford Bellevue ferry to continue cycling along the routes. Chesapeake Challenge is fully supported with rest stops every 7-15 miles stocked with snacks, ice cold drinks, and cheering volunteers. All along the routes you’ll find Support and Gear vehicles, professional medical volunteers and bike mechanics to keep you going to the finish line. Complimentary meals beginning Saturday breakfast through Sunday lunch are provided to all participants and volunteers. Be sure to join us for a fun Saturday night themed party where we honor our top teams and individuals.
