The 5th Annual Rising Above It Family Fun Day to benefit SARC is coming up 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 20 at Ripken Stadium. This year’s theme is Wizard of Oz and children wearing Wizard of Oz inspired costumes will be admitted free. Activities include running the bases, face painting, games, moon bounces, shopping, music, cornhole, magic performances, balloon animals, great food, live broadcast by WAMD, a chance to win a hot air balloon ride for two, pony rides (extra fee), hot air balloons (weather permitting). Proceeds allow SARC to continue to provide lifesaving resources to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, child abuse and stalking. Believe Foundation started in his memory to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research.
