SARC seeks donors to adopt a family during the holiday season

SARC is looking for donors willing to adopt a family in need during the holiday season. Here are the details:

Bel Air, MD– SARC, a non-profit in Harford County provides hope and resources to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, child abuse and stalking as they make their journey from victim to survivor. SARC’s clients are working to create a life free from abuse and fear.

In order to provide a safe and happy holiday for clients, SARC is looking for donors to adopt a family during the holiday season. The journey they are completing can feel even more isolating during the holiday season. You can support a SARC family by providing a Thanksgiving Meal, Holiday Gifts or both! Contact Megan Paice at or (410) 836-8431 if you have any questions. If you would like to host a food drive to support SARC’s pantry and Safehouse, contact Beth League at or (410) 836-8431 for more information.

Support a SARC family by becoming a donor for the holidays. Your generosity allows SARC families to have a safe and happy holiday during a time they need it the most. Having the community support their family can give clients the hope they need for their journey.

SARC will be participating in Giving Tuesday, December 2nd 2014. There is a day for giving thanks and two days for getting great deals.  Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back to the community.  On December 2nd 2014, communities around the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and give. Your donation of $50 provides companion at a local hospital, donation of $100 provides a companion in a court room for a victim of stalking and a donation of $500 provides an abused person 7 nights of safe shelter and case management. Leaving an abuser is the most dangerous times in a violent relationship. SARC’s shelter provides a safe place for clients to get rest and go over safety planning.
