When Johnny comes back from the dead as a zombie (after an unfortunate incident at the nuclear power plant) can he win Toffee back?  Will Mrs. Strict allow him to attend the prom?  Don’t miss all the music, surprises and fun! Ghostly walking tours of downtown Havre de Grace Oct. 24 & 25

Aberdeen Proving Ground Oktoberfest, Oct. 24 & 25

The public is invited to attend the 2014 Aberdeen Proving Ground Oktoberfest from Oct. 24-25 at the APG North (Aberdeen) recreation center and surrounding grounds. This local version of the famous Bavarian festival kicks off 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, with an opening ceremony during which installation and area leaders will sign the Army Community Covenant as a public show of support between the communities. “This is going to be an all-around great opportunity for everyone to come together in a spirit of camaraderie and enjoy a full two days of fun,” said APG’s FMWR Chief Mike Lupacchino. The celebration continues 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 25 with a Volksmarch and ends at 9 p.m. with a fireworks show. http://www.belairnewsandviews.com/?p=17026

Forest Hill Dance and Danse Macabre presents Cora’s story, “The Scarecracker” at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at C. Milton Wright High School, 1301 Fountain Green Rd., Bel Air. The dance explores the Halloween story of Cora, little sister to “The Nutcracker’s” Clara. The production features ballet, hip hop, contemporary and tap. One act opera to support renovation of Havre de Grace Opera House, Nov. 8

Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 8 pm, OPERAtunity Maryland in conjunction with the Harford Choral Society will present Cavalleria Rusticana, an Opera in One Act by Pietro Mascagni in support of the Havre de Grace Opera House Foundation and the renovation of the historic 1871 Opera House on Union Avenue.
