The Rockfield Manor Christmas Tree Lighting and Happy Hour is 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at 501 Churchville Road in Bel Air. Each room in Rockfield Manor will be decorated and the event includes a happy hour featuring beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $25 per person. St. Matthew Lutheran Church Christmas Festival of Lights continues through Dec. 31

Bel Air holiday light aficionado Jim Kurtz has taken his formerly residential display to the grounds of St. Matthew Lutheran Church again this year and helped Pastor Blaise Sedney design a showpiece of 43,000 lights synchronized to holiday music. Weather permitting, the display will begin on Friday, November 28, and run through Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Operating hours run are every night starting at 6:00 pm and ending at 10:00 pm (Sunday through Thursday) and 11:00pm (Friday and Saturday), except for a few nights when the display times will be adjusted to accommodate other church functions. Harford Ballet Company performs “The Nutcracker,” Dec. 6 & 7

The John Carroll High School Christmas Bazaar is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 6 in the school’s gym at 703 Churchville Road. The event features crafts, artists, retail and vintage vendors, gifts and jewelry. Christmas trees, wreaths and poinsettias will also be for sale. Admission is free and proceeds benefit the John Carroll High School’s Equestrian Team.

The third annual Authors & Artists Holiday Gift Sale is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Bel Air Armory, 37 Main St. The event features live entertainment and holiday treats.

 Aberdeen Christmas Street Celebration, Dec. 6

The annual Aberdeen Christmas Street Celebration begins at 7 a.m. Dec. 6 with a Breakfast with Santa at Grace United Methodist Church, 110 W. Bel Air Ave. The Christmas parade starts at 3 p.m. on Law Street and continues to West Bel Air Avenue and then Howard Street, ending at Festival Park with a tree lighting ceremony and visit from Santa.

Breakfast with Santa at Bel Air Applebee’s to benefit childhood cancer research, Dec. 6

Santa is scheduled to visit the Bel Air Applebee’s restaurant from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Dec. 6 to help raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The breakfast includes unlimited pancakes, sausage, juice, or fountain soda, served by staff who volunteer their time and talents each year. Along with breakfast, each child is encouraged to bring her mom and/or dad to visit with Santa and take a picture with a camera or smartphone. All of the proceeds will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The donations for Breakfast with Santa are $7 per person. ALSF focuses on encouraging and empowering others, especially children, to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer research for treatments and cures. In the 10 years that Applebee’s has been raising funds for ALSF, these regional locations have helped raise a combined $3.2 million in funds. The Bel Air Applebee’s is at 1225 Churchville Rd.

The tree lighting in Perryville is 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 6. The event features visits with Santa, musical performances and the tree lighting at 1 Holly Tree Lane in Perryville.

25th Annual Bel Air Christmas Parade and celebration, Dec. 7

The 25th Annual Bel Air Christmas Parade and celebration begins with an outdoor band concert from 2:30 – 3:30 pm, Dec. 7 on the steps of the Harford County Courthouse on Main Street, by the Route 66 Band. The Parade steps off at 3:30 pm, with the same route as before: from the Oyster House Restaurant down to Lee Street, then right on Lee Street to Har-Co Credit Union. All are then invited to Shamrock Park, where the Bel Air Community Band is playing music of the season in the Humbert Band Shell, and free hot chocolate and cookies will be given out to all (while they last!). A cheery bonfire will also occur, and the entire event ends with the lighting of the Bel Air Town Christmas Tree, around 4:50 pm. Havre de Grace Christmas parade, Dec. 7

Due to the weather forecast the HdG parade committee has decided to postpone the Christmas parade to Sunday, December 7. The parade will start at 6:00 on St. John Street processing to Washington Street ending at Congress Ave. Following the parade Santa, along with Mayor Wayne Dougherty will light our Christmas Tree to welcome in the Holiday Season! Santa will then be available to hear all your Christmas wishes at Santa Land on Washington Street.
