Several Harford County Public Library staff members were recognized at a recent Harford County Public Library Board of Trustees for receiving an award named for former Library Director Roenna Fahrney. Here are the details:
HARFORD COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY STAFF RECOGNIZED FOR ACHIEVEMENTS
(Belcamp, Maryland – January 23, 2015) Harford County Public Library staff members who received the prestigious Roenna Fahrney Recognition Award were recognized at the January meeting of the Harford County Public Library Board of Trustees.
Honored with individual awards were Jackie Cassidy, Havre de Grace Library; Annie Kovach, Darlington Library; and Deidrah Reeves, Jarrettsville Library. For its collaborative efforts to establish a U.S. Department of State Passport Acceptance Facility in the Bel Air Library, the Passport Team was presented the team award. Team members are Sue Asselin, Maureen Benesch, Robin Fiastro, Patricia Gobble, Bethany Hacker, Karen Hagerman, Colleen Hampton, Theresa Henn, Kori Hoene, Penny Jindra, Margaret Kopp, Amy Kraft, Beth LaPenotiere, Kelly McCaffrey, Daniel Rutherford, Will Sexton, Patricia Snyder, Hope Stavros-Barnoff, Julianne Sterrett, Kristina Stemple, Conni Strittmatter, Bethany Vangrin, Caitlin Vogtman, Raquel Warbington, Edie White and Rob Zimmerman.

Recipients are nominated by their peers in recognition of their exceptional performance, customer service skills and by making significant contributions to the Library’s mission,” commented Terri Schell, Senior Administrator of Human Resources.
The Roenna Fahrney Recognition Awardwas established in 1994 and is presented to an individual or team who has been nominated by peers and embodies the “service to the community” spirit demonstrated by Ms. Roenna Fahrney, Library Director from 1957 to 1978.
