Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Harford County hosts Culture Camp, July 25 – 29

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Harford County will sponsor a camp which explores a different country every day. It will be held July 25 – 29 at their church located at 2515 Churchville Rd., Churchville from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM each day. Kindergarten through 5th grade students will learn how children live in other countries: the games they play; the songs they sing;  the food they eat; and the languages they speak. Each morning will begin with a few clues and then we will reveal the day’s country. A guest speaker will join us to tell about the country. Then we will celebrate a popular holiday from that culture and make a craft. There will be story time with a book about the mystery country. We will snack on some regional food and play a game that’s popular with the children of that culture. At the end of each day, the campers will put stickers and fun facts they have learned in their “passports” which they can take home at the end of the week. The cost is $75 for the first child in a family and $65 for each additional child. For more information or to register, contact dre@uufhc.net or call 410-734-7122.
