The University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health has promoted Joyce Fox to the position of senior vice president for patient services and chief nursing officer. Here are the details:

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) has promoted Joyce Fox to the position of senior vice president for patient services and chief nursing officer.

 

Fox has been part of the UM UCH leadership team for 17 years, most recently serving as vice president for patient services and chief nursing officer. During her years at UM UCH, she has served in various roles to advance the nursing division. Fox has led important initiatives such as the new patient care model with interdisciplinary rounding and has assisted with implementing cutting-edge technological advances and enhancing the patient experience.

 

“The patient and family are truly at the core of everything Joyce Fox does,” said Lyle Sheldon, president and CEO of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. “Joyce and her nursing team play an integral role in helping us provide excellent patient care for every patient, during every encounter, every day. We are fortunate to have Joyce as part of the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health team.”

Fox holds a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from what is now Notre Dame of Maryland University and a Master’s Degree in health care from Towson University. She is board certified by the American Nurse Association in Advanced Nursing Administration.
