Well it looks like it was road rage. WJZ 13 reports tonight that the motive for the fatal stabbing of Patrick Walker, 23, of Bel Air during busy afternoon traffic just outside the Harford County Health Department on Friday was prompted by one car cutting off another. Michael Simmons, 19, of Fallston was charged in the crime. According to WJZ’s report, Simmons approached the victim and punched him twice while holding a knife in his fist. They reported that the last time Bel Air had a murder was 1983. Read the Baltimore Sun’s account here. I’m interested to hear more about the case. But I’ve got to say it worries me driving about town with kids in the car and all these teens I know in my neighborhood driving – not always very well.
