There’s still time to sign up to march in the Bel Air Independence Day parade & the committee is looking for volunteers to help throughout the day

Thinking you still might like to march in the Bel Air Independence Day Committee’s Fourth of July parade? Luckily for you, the committee just extended its parade registration deadline to Monday, June 21. The committee is looking for everyone from scout troops, churches, business and others to join the parade, scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, July 4 on Bel Air’s Main Street.

The theme of this year’s parade is “America the Beautiful.” Some of the bands that have already signed up to march include: C. Milton Wright, John Carroll, North Harford, Patterson Mill, Havre de Grace and Edgewood High Schools. They’ll be joined by out-of-town bands such as the Shenandoah Sound from Virginia, the Reading Buccaneers from Reading, Pa., the Alliance Drum and Bugle Corps from Atlanta, the Music City Legend from Nashville, Tenn., the Fusion Corps from New Jersey, and many more!

Full details and maps for all the day’s events are available on the Bel Air Independence Day Committee’s Web site at “It looks to be another fantastic Fourth of July celebration in Bel Air, but we’re still looking for volunteers to help morning, afternoon and evening,” says Committee President Donald W. Stewart. “If you can spare a few hours on Sunday, July 4, to help us honor our country and our community, we’d appreciate it.”
