Fallston High School student Joey d’Entremont, 14, fatally struck by car on Rock Spring Road late Friday. Services scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at Mountain Christian Church


Sad news today. You might have noticed the signs and blue, white and orange balloons on the corner of Rock Spring and Bynum Roads. Friends of 14-year-old Joseph Paul d’Entremont, of Bel Air, put those up today as a memorial to the Fallston High School student who died last night after he was hit by a car while he was walking across Rock Spring Road. Maryland State Police reports indicate that d’Entremont (who was known as Joey) was crossing Rock Spring Road from the Red Pump Road side when he was hit by car heading northbound at about 9:45 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Click here to read abc2news.com‘s story on the accident. His friends created a Facebook page in his memory named Joey d’Entremont you will be missed. d’Entremont was known for his singing and piano playing and has posted videos of his music on YouTube.

A viewing for d’Entremont is scheduled 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday September 21 and 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday September 22 at Mountain Christian Church, 1824 Mountain Road, Joppa. The viewing is to be followed by a funeral to start at noon Wednesday, Sept. 22 at Mountain Christian Church. Click here for details.
