Bel Air’s World Champion figure skater Kimmie Meissner knows it’s good to be first. At 10 a.m. Friday morning, she will be the first person to vote in Harford County’s Early Voting, which starts Sept. 3. Kimmie will cast her vote at the Bel Air Branch of the Harford County library, which is on the street the Town of Bel Air renamed “Kimmie Way” in her honor after she competed in the 2006 Olympics.
According to a Harford County government press release: This will be the first time Maryland voters can vote prior to Election Day without applying for an absentee ballot. In Harford County, the meeting room of the Bel Air Branch of the Harford County Public Library will host the early voting center. Voters may cast their ballot from Friday, September 3 to 9, except Sunday, September 5. Early voting hours are 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
