Hooray! Vale Road has reopened to through traffic full time. I turned onto Vale by accident this morning and to my surprise, no road closure interrupted my trip. I just checked with Thomas A. Pistel, Chief, Bureau of Construction Inspections, Department of Public Works for Harford County, and he tells me the road will remain open. Some work still needs to be done, but he says traffic will be allowed through during that time with flaggers directing cars as necessary. The road work on Vale Road between Route 924 and Red Pump began Oct. 4. It closed the road between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. Now, although road closure sign is still in place, you can get through and see the little medians they installed.
