The Harvest Fare supermarket opens today in the former Acme location at Routes 1 and 152. Owner Jim Streett told The Aegis that he’s renovated the space Acme left in February and it now features a mural painted by Fallston High School students. This is Streett’s second Harvest Fare. He has had a store on Hamilton Avenue in Northeast Baltimore since 1996 and Streett told The Aegis his Fallston store will emphasize perishables, its full service bakery, meat, seafood and produce. Harvest Fare will offer double coupons up to $1 and a 5 percent discount for seniors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
