Two Punkin’ Chunkin’ events this weekend: one at Eden Mill Nature Center’s Fall Fest and the original in Delaware


If you’re interested in seeing flying pumpkins, there are two big “Punkin’ Chunkin'” events this weekend. Eden Mill Nature Center is hosting its own version as part of its Fall Fest from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the center, 1617 Eden Mill Road in Pylesville. The festival also includes a park-wide scavenger hunt, live animals, honey extraction and dipped candle demonstrations, live music, mill tours, crafts and games. They’ve built a catapult they’ll use to hurl pumpkins festival goers can buy for $5. Their catapult idea was inspired by the popular Punkin’ Chunkin’ event that also takes place this weekend in Bridgeville, Delaware. That event starts today and continues through Sunday at the Wheatley Farm in Bridgeville, Delaware.
